Curriculum Vitae available upon request
I have developed a well-rounded knowledge of acting based in the foundational techniques of Stanislavski, Meisner, and Hagen. I also have a strong connection to voice and body work through Fitzmaurice, Rodenburg, Linklater, Suzuki, Viewpoints, and Laban techniques. My practice is rooted in cultivating consent based learning environments, honoring boundaries, inviting a curiosity of the unknown, and highlighting the advantages of engaging with people of diverse cultures & backgrounds. My training in Black Acting Methods, Mental Health First-Aid, and Theatrical Intimacy guide my practice in the classroom. Learning is a social experience that is enriched by challenging the norm and centering non-traditional pedagogical approaches. I strive to decolonize the approach to teaching and course materials presented in my classroom. Student-centered learning lives at the heart of my pedagogical viewpoint.
